The last weekend of 4 and 5 December we attended this conference on reforestation in the biological reserve of Azaba Campanula, part of Nature and Man Foundation. Is endorsed by a European project LIFE +, to the conservation of biodiversity in the West Iberian.

The farm is situated in the Chozo Alamedilla (Salamanca), despite the bad weather in that order week succeeded in bringing out the planting of 547 trees of which 137 were oaks, 188 oaks and 222 ashes.

Here we show a series of photos that we take on the farm:

the first day, Saturday, was devoted to planting oak (Quercus ilex) This day there was plenty of snow as we see in the picture below.

Jalama in the Sierra de Gata, El Payo, Salamanca. Authorized

time ago, particularly in the month of September, we decided to climb Mount "Jalama" from which there are beautiful views of the countryside of Rebollar and its extension to the peneplain of Salamanca, a much of the northern part of Extremadura and Portugal.
This mountain belongs to El Payo (Salamanca) and Holly and San Martín de Trevejo (Cáceres).
The reason for the rise was Visiting a good friend and knows the area, (Jose Manuel), was working at the end of fire season.

At the ascension, we are on our way a quitameriendas (Merendera montana) , and blooming, bulbous plant well known in the area appears much if there is large presence of voles.

We climb and we were amazed, a small group of three kestrels (Falco tinnunculus) hunting about 15-20 meters high and swoop in, we assume that the hunt for a large insect.

continued our climb surrounded by beautiful pine forests, following the path that leads to the Well of the refrigerator, which was excavated and lined with stones to the conservation of snow.

Along the way we noticed the creeping plant that appears next line the top of Jalama.

Cellular Respiration Bromothymol Blue Lab

two wind farms with about 50 wind turbines in Guadapero (Salamanca). Monfragüe

We have recovered some pictures from two years ago, our first entry in this Blog, when touched to the PFC in the Sierra de Valdefuentes, in the municipality of Guadapero Salamantino.
Monte is located in the Public Use (MUP) No. 41, is a place of great wealth and variety of fauna and flora. The Sierra can be seen from the center of our province and its end for the future will be the production of electricity at the expense of landscape loss of a transition zone between REBOLLAR AND SAW Batuecas France, and that due to certain circumstances is not within NATURA 2000 NETWORK.

Then you expose the current state of the area, the images are from long ago and certainly not of great quality, but in this case what matters most is their reporting and informative.
This area has a mountain flora, which are dominated by oak (Quercus ilex ), the Turkey oak (Quercus pyrenaica ), pine (Pinus pinaster ), greasy rock rose (Cistus ), heather (Erica sp . ), The gatuña ( Genista falcata), broom ( Citisus sp. ) etc.
variety of vegetation in a quarry, Foxglove (Digitalis thapsi ), jara (Cistus ), heather (Erica australis ), Turkey oak (Quercus pyrenaica ) and oak (Quercus ilex ).

As bird has a good colony of vultures in quartzite outcrops, mainly the griffon vulture (Gyps fulvus ) and black ( Aegypius monachus) that their populations have recovered.

The geological material on which it sits is quartzite, pedrizas or frogs.
The following views are part of the Sierra where they would put a wind farm, called Cabezagorda Cabezagorda I and II, the head is Gamesa.

Images taken from the floor of the Sierra, in which the aeroneneradores rope would stand, about 100 meters.

Images taken from the top of the Sierra, they observe the stunning views that have the "giants."

hope you liked it and you find it useful information.

Yorkies Problems After Hysterectomy

National Park II National Park Monfragüe

Unlike the other input, the following photos belong to a different day, as you can see on the day of this post, was an exceptional day for photography.

start the day photographing small birds in Castle around Monfragüe were very busy, but managed to reflect their charms.

Tit (Parus caeruleus)
walked This beautiful tit feeding on the fruits of this Cornicabra (Pistacia terebinthus) , he wandered from side to side without stopping still for a moment, it took us awhile to photograph, but in the end it was worth.
Grosbeak (Coccothraustes coccothraustes)
feeding was also in that Cornicabra, the truth is that they were giving a banquet, do not know how he could get off to poor Cornicabra with the amount of titmice and grosbeaks there was.

solo Rocker (Monticola solitarius)
This beautiful bird, which we've never seen we were surprised by the ruins of ancient castle, sunbathing was showing the blue color Slate is so characteristic of this species.

Robin (Erithacus rubecula)
Very common as is usual, we saw this particular car park near the castle.

Culebra viper (Natrix maura)
on when I saw this snake eat near Villareal de San Carlos, was looking a shadow over their heads the intense heat.

Javelin (Sus scrofa) with two scratches
has
last hour of the day and I have assumed that we would not see many animals, we find this curious group of javelin with two scratch that did not seem to bother our presence as quietly went about their business.

And finally this beautiful sunset which gave us one more day of pleasant experiences.
I hope you liked it!
Greetings!
